Ceph Pacific All Flash Appliance
Hyperscalers has developed a fully supported all-flash-storage solution based on Ceph Pacific to address the object, block, and file storage needs of service providers looking to achieve hyperscale capabilities to deploying super-fast storage quickly, reliably and at a fraction of historical costs.
About Ceph
Ceph (16.2.7/ Pacific) is a freely available software-defined storage solution (supported by Hyperscalers) that implements a distributed storage cluster to provide interfaces for object-, block- and file-level storage. Ceph aims primarily for completely distributed operation without a single point of failure. Ceph storage manages data replication and is generally quite fault tolerant. As a result of its design, the system is both self-healing and self-managing
Features
• Highly available distributed storage cluster with 3-way replication
• Block Storage (Ideal for VMs and containers)
• Object storage with Swift and S3 API
• Fault tolerance (up to 2 failed disks without data loss)
• Self-healing and self-managing
• Complete with hardware, software, configuration, set-up and support.
Storage speed
• Block storage – 5028MB /s| 1,258K IOPS
• S3 Object storage – 5029MB/s | 12.409k objects/s
Architecture
Ceph pacific is deployable across many types of Hyperscalers’ storage servers including S5S, S5P, S5X, S5K as well as 25/40/100 Gb/s data network speeds.
